Summary Of Project In our next project in physics, we learned about sound waves and how they make different pitches. We had to create different instruments. In a group, we made a wind instrument, a percussion instrument and a string instrument. These instruments had to create 5 different pitches, be able to be taken apart to three different pieces, and they had to able to play a song. The technical presentation and isometric drawings were both things we had to do in this project.
Technical Presentation After learning and creating our instruments, we made a technical presentation that explained all the different components of our instrument. We had to present to the class, so they could learn about our instruments.
Isometric Sketch In engineering, we got a engineering journal. We learned how to draw different kinds of drawings including multi view drawings, isometric drawings and perspective drawings. Now, we use this notebook to brainstorm our ideas in engineering. We drew multi-view drawings of our insturments. Below is my best isometric sketch.
Lab Introduction
Our first project in physics was to create a introduction. We first, had to come up with a testable question. Since my group was on depression, our testable question was, "At DVC, what gender suffers from the most depression?" We then created a hypothesis, and using both the hypothesis and testable question, we created the lab introduction. Now, for the rest of the year, we will be able to use our knowledge on introductions, to write other introductions for physics or engineering projects. We also learned more about finding credible sources. We learned different ways to find if a source is credible, and how to site a source. After learning this, we filled out a worksheet citing the sources that we used to find information on our topics. You can find this worksheet on the second page of my introduction.
